In order to ensure success in the classroom, new students submit their last two report cards and standardized test scores (if applicable). New students also take a math and reading test to assess their ability. This is the same test that current students take to track their progress.
When admissions criteria are met, new students are accepted based upon spaces available in each grade following the January registration period for currently enrolled students and their siblings. Then, active Christ the King Church parishioners are given next priority. In addition, families relocating to Jacksonville, whose children have been attending Catholic school in another location will be considered for enrollment as soon as parents join the parish.
A parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Admission Policy: Christ The King Catholic School in the Diocese of St. Augustine has an open admission policy. No person, on the grounds of race, color, disability or national origin, is excluded or otherwise subjected to discrimination in the receiving of services. Nor does the school discriminate in hiring, promotion, discharge, pay, fringe benefits, job training, classification, referral and other aspects of employment on the basis of race, color, disability, age, or national origin.
